Davina has written 7 books to date. The first, Take Me With You/ Llévame Contigo is a short story and poetry collection. Then, she wrote, Finding My Alegría, an inspirational micro memoir for youth and a collection of feminist short stories titled: Stories of Happy Lovers & Unhappy Wives.
During the pandemic, Ferreira connected what she calls, her first love: POETRY.
If Love had a Name is her first poetry collection in English, winner of The Juan Herrera Best Poetry book award at The International Latino Book Festival. In 2021, she launched a handwritten micro-poetry book in Spanish titled: Libre.
This 2022-2023 she is releasing two poetry collections, Beautiful (Broken) Heart and Amar-me Amart-te , a collection of poems about love.
Davina Ferreira es una poeta bilingüe de origen Colombo-Americano y la fundadora de la Alegría Media & Publishing.
Ferreira ha escrito 7 libros hasta el día de hoy. Su primer libro, Take Me With You/ Llévame Contigo es una colección de relatos cortos y poesía.
Luego escribió, Finding my Alegría, una autobiografía corta que invita a los jóvenes a seguir sus sueños.
Su más reciente colección de relatos cortos feministas se titula: Historias de Amantes Felices y Esposas Tristes.
Durante la pandemia, Ferreira reconectó, con lo que ella llama su primer amor: La Poesía.
If Love had a Name es su primera colección de poesía en Inglés, la cual fue galardonada como la mejor colección de poesía en English con el premio Juan Herrera de parte del International Latino Book Festival.

The Alegría bilingual platforms include Alegría bilingual magazine, a quarterly print and digital vehicle; Alegría Mobile Bookstore, a traveling bookmobile that brings the joy of reading to younger generations in their own neighborhoods; and Alegría Video Series, a compilation of interviews with outstanding Latine/x arts and culture figures. Alegría also creates live events featuring brand activations.
We believe the modern “Latine/x” story needs to be told. We tell stories from all corners of the Latine/x world of personal triumph and success, and of the remarkable feats Latine/x people achieve. We believe that these stories can transform the next generation.
